Habitat: Mesic and dry-mesic forests, floodplain forests and alluvial swamps, seepage swamps, depression swamps and ponds, wet flatwoods, wet meadows, and other low, disturbed habitats. Frequent to common throughout, except absent from much of sw. Virginia.
