Additional Info

Virginia habitats and distribution of this recently described taxon are uncertain, as most Virginia specimens have not been identified to subspecies. The four confirmed specimens are from rocky woodlands, streambanks, and clearings in the mountains and piedmont. This is probably by far the less common of the two subspecies, but further field and herbarium studies are needed.
