Additional Info

Native to moist meadows, wetlands, and woodlands at higher elevations throughout Eastern North America, extending from Quebec through the Appalachian Mountains to North Carolina and Tennessee. This species is characterized by its upright, unbranched stalks and paired, lanceolate leaves. The striking feature of Closed Gentian is its blue, tubular flowers that remain closed or nearly so, blooming from late August to October.
